ASPEmail

ASPEmail allows the CMS to use exchange to relay outgoing email. ASPEmail is installed on the server, and then called from engine_configuration.asp:uSendEMail user configurable function.

Install from: G:\Development\! Applications purchased for Web\aspEmail single server

Install Persists Software ASPEmail component on the webserver.

Access the EmailAgent from the control panel to configure.

The [Configuration] tab defaults to

• message que path: c:\Program Files\Persits Software\AspEmail\Queue
• sessions: 16
• query every 10 seconds
• repeat sending after 10 minutes
• cancel after 4 hours

[SMTP] tab

• Relay though email server 172.17.1.23 port 25
• use authentication (use a domain user who has rights to send through exchange and an exchange email)

[POP3] tab

we're not using POP3

[LOG] tab

we're logging error messags only. this can be changed for diagnoistics purposes.

Set permissions

• c:\program files\persists software\aspemail folder security: Users (servername\users) Write: Allow.
• c:\program files\persists software\aspemail\queue folder security: Users (servername\users) Full Control: Allow.
