Workers fall a dead tree the the Grove Road campus in preparation for construction of the new Upper Columbia Conference office.

Trees Come Down at Grove Road Office Site

[Spokane, WA] FEBRUARY 4, 2010

Workers cut down over 30 trees today to clear the way for construction to begin on the new Upper Columbia Conference office at the Grove Road location in Spokane, Washington. A ground breaking ceremony is being planned for this spring as engineers and architects finalize the
blueprints for the new facility.

The trees are being cleared away because many of them died after the old office burned down in December 2008, and because the new one-story facility will be slightly farther away from the freeway and cover a larger area than the old two-story building.

An architect's rendering and floor plan of the new building can be viewed at the temporary Upper Columbia Conference office on Euclid Avenue in Spokane Valley, Washington.
