Camp Breaks Ground
by Jay Wintermeyer

HAYDEN LAKE, Idaho, May 16, 2010 - More than 70 people gathered at the site of the new camper village at Camp MiVoden for a groundbreaking ceremony.
The ceremony marked the beginning of the construction phase on eight new cabins that will improve facilities and add capacity to the camp. Each new cabin will be made up of two separate units with capacity for up to 8 campers and one staff member.
Richard Parker, camp director, says “The wonderful thing about the new cabins is they will create a more natural environment where campers can more fully experience God’s creation. This is an exciting time for us. God is opening doors and we’re ready to move forward. ”
The new additions are part of a camp master plan approved in 2009 by Kootenai county. Funds are still needed to complete the first phase of cabin construction as well as other projects included in the master plan. These include four more cabins and a gymnasium.
Call MiVoden to find out how you can sponsor a cabin, or for more information. The camp phone number is 208-772-3484.
