Dr. Stan Hudson presents a lecture on creation to a packed classroom.

A camp meeting participant reads from their Bible during a sermon.

SPANGLE, Wash., 6-16-2011 -“Busy…lot’s of things going on and that’s a good thing,” says Dennis Matthews as the first full day of Upper Columbia Conference’s 2011 camp meeting wound down.

Matthews was not alone. Many were enthusiastic about the speakers and seminars available at camp meeting. Among the most popular was Dr. Stan Hudson’s seminar on creation. The seminar room was packed and Ron and Rozella Stroud from near Portland, OR were fortunate to find a seat near the front.

“It was good, very good,” says Ron. “The openness and clarity of what he was sharing impressed me.”

Phyllis Wagner said she is enjoying the overall new format the UCC has adopted for this year's camp meeting, “I grew up going to camp meeting in the big tent and we lived in tents and I think this is going to be a good spiritual experience.”

Friday’s speakers are Bryon Corbett and Mark Finley. Seminars will be presented on creation, healthy cooking, parenting, and soul winning.
