Camp Meeting Is For Everyone

Ron Fleck takes a little snooze before supper on Friday afternoon at the Upper Columbia Conference camp meeting.

SPANGLE, Wash., June 15, 2012 - You don't have to have a fancy RV to come to camp meeting.  A van, tent, truck, or even a hammock will do.

It may not be the warmest bed on the campus, but it certainly is the most portable.  Ron Fleck spent his nights at the Upper Columbia Conference camp meeting sleeping in his backpacking set up.

"I didn't know if there would be any trees to string up the hammock on," said Fleck, "so I brought two four by fours and my post hole digger."

Over 110 RVs and tents arrived on campus at Upper Columbia Academy this week, and hundreds of people are staying in dorm rooms, for the conference's second camp meeting on it's new location in Spangle, WA.  As Sabbath approaches, officials are prepared to accomodate over 2000 drive-in attendees as well.

It doesn't matter what you camp in.  All that matters is that you come and share the blessing of camp meeting.  The blessings are many, from fellowship and fun to prayer and preaching.  If you can't make it in person, you can watch it live by internet video streaming on this website.
