Dr. Fred Hardinge accepted the call to serve as associate health ministries director Friday morning, July 2, 2010. Delegates of the 59th General Conference Session of the Seventh-day Adventist Church voted Tuesday to appoint Hardinge to the position.
Hardinge’s background includes pastoral ministry, academic teaching, community health education, corporate training and consultation, administration and private health counseling. He served as associate health ministries director for the Upper Columbia Conference (UCC) and helped start Bibleinfo.com. Most recently, Hardinge has been serving as director of PositiveChoices.com, a new online health-evangelism initiative.
For over 35 years, Hardinge has been communicating the message “Your choices can lead you to be healthy and more productive!” to a wide variety of audiences. He is known nationally and internationally as a creative educator and motivational speaker. Hardinge enjoys hiking, climbing and cross-country skiing with his wife April, two children and four grand-children.
The Adventist Church has also tapped Myron Iseminger, UCC vice president for finance, to serve as associate secretary for the General Conference.
