Color guard at Marina Park.

Irrigon, Ore., October 1, 2011 - The Irrigon SDA Church hosted a second annual gospel/patriotic concert on September 11, 2011. It featured a color-guard service with speaker Lt Col Kris Perkins of the Umatilla Army Depot. We had Rep. Greg Smith of Heppner, OR speak as well. With a combination of patriotic songs and a variety of gospel singers, the concert was well attended by almost 400 people. A special invitation was extended to all firefighters, police and first responders from our area to give them special recognition. It was held in the Irrigon Marina Park on the beautiful Columbia River. We hoped that many would go home with renewed love for GOD and country. We invited all Irrigon churches to participate. The members supplied cookies and punch for intermission as well as singers. Our sister church, Hermiston Anchor Point SDA supplied a wonderful sound system. It was concluded with Taps.
