Baptisms are wonderful occasions for churches and no matter the age, it is always a joy to see new birth, new life in Christ.
In Spirit Lake, the baptism of Jessica and Jonathan Mandigo on the fifth anniversary of their older sisters, Victoria and Moriah's baptism, was an inspiration to the members of the Spirit Lake Church.
In Ritzville, the local Seventh-day Adventist Church welcome new member, Vivian Seaton. It isn’t every day you wake up and decide to join a Bible study, especially if you haven’t attended a church for 30 years. But that’s what Vivian Seaton did this past year.
It wasn’t long before she found the Ritzville (Wash.) Church and began attending Sabbath services.
"Everyone made me feel so welcome," says Seaton.
During the process of studying, and after watching a DVD, she felt the Holy Spirit calling her. "I knew I needed Jesus in my life," says Seaton. "I talked with Pastor Jerremy [Foss] about baptism and asked if I could be baptized. I wanted to be a member of God's church."
There are currently more than 17 million members in the Seventh-day Adventist Church worldwide.
