Women's Ministries

Do not conform to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what
God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
                                                Romans 12:2 NIV

As I was doing some research this morning on the Internet, I tried to load a page in Wikipedia. An error message popped up that said, "This page has some issues." This is what we would say about a problem or situation we are facing. Or about ourselves (or someone we know), not a page on the Internet, right? We don't often think about the Internet as having issues. We have become so dependent on technology that when it fails to work, we get upset. Maybe it's not the computer that is having issues, but us.

Where have we placed our dependency... Is it on things, or on God? While we live in a time where technology has certainly opened up our knowledge base, have we become too dependent on it? Many of us would risk being late to work so we could go back home to retrieve our left-behind cell phones, but we have a difficult time getting up ten minutes early to spend time in prayer and Bible study.

The issues we face can be taken to the foot of the cross. Are we tapping into God? Malachi 3:10 says: "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!"

Tithes include our time and how we spend it. If you have issues, take them to the foot of the cross. Spend ten minutes less on the Internet and spend that time reading the Bible and praying. He wont let you down! He is the key to every issue we face. Try it! Put God to the test.
