How to get PaporPort 9 and Firey Remote Scan 5 setup (for scanning FROM the xerox 3535 printer to the desktop)

1.  install Fiery Remote Scan 5 from uccs2\masters\xerox\...

2.  Install PaperPort 9 (currently on CD)

3.  Open up PaperPort 9, and choose to scan, setup the scanner as available on 172.17.1.253 with a device name of \\x3535\Direct


This installs PaperPort 9 version 9.1.0.197


To upgrade to version 9.1.0.771
Navigate to help, scansoft on the web, get latest update

If you get an error that says "Library not registered." and it fails to upgrade, refer to:
ScanSofts web site and look for the TechNote document Number 2966 entitled "Library Not Registered” error message"
this document enstructs the following command to be run: regsvr32 “C:\Program Files\Common Files\scansoft shared\LiveUpdate.dll” 
If there is an error (in my case it could not read the long folder path), simply drop the .dll in question onto c:\windows\system32\regsrv32.exe and let it register it directly.
