Greetings, Prayer Team!

I told the bank teller today that we’ve been running around like chickens with our heads cut off. Not that I know just what that looks like—being a non-farmer and a vegetarian, I’ve never seen a headless chicken. I have seen a snake slithering around without its head, but that’s not the right word picture for us today at all.

Perhaps I should tell you instead that we’re running a three-ring circus today. That would be less gruesome, but it would seem to me slightly irreverent in describing planning for a church service.

Maybe I’ll just say we’re busy. Why? This Sabbath, there will be an education rally in Coeur d’Alene, and the Sabbath after that, there will be another one in Walla Walla. We’re excited about all the people God is bringing together to celebrate His goodness to our children! Please keep both rallies in your prayers.

One primary purpose for the education rallies is to give parents, teachers, families, and friends excellent tools and methods to create an atmosphere in which children grow, learn, and excel. We believe in our kids and the present and future they represent. We believe in supporting them in building strong characters as well as strong minds.

As God’s prophet says, “Character building is the most important work entrusted to human beings; and never before was its diligent study so important as now.” Education p. 225

May God’s grace be with each of you as you continue to build your own character!
