ResourcesFeature Article:Prayer Warriors Reinforce our Missionby Max Torkelsen
Our Upper Columbia Conference Prayer Partners are probably the most valuable members we have. Your faithful service as Prayer Warriors under girds everything else we do in the Conference. Only in the light of eternity will we be able to truly evaluate the indispensable role you have filled in accomplishing our Mission to reach the Inland Northwest with the gospel of Jesus Christ. “Only the work accomplished with much prayer, and sanctified by the merit of Christ, will in the end prove to have been efficient for good. No other life was ever so crowded with labor and responsibility as was that of Jesus; yet how often He was found in prayer! How constant was his communion with God” Desire of Ages, p. 362. In looking at ways to be the best possible stewards of the resources God has provided, we have decided to continue our Prayer Partners newsletter and Page-A-Day Calendar on the conference internet Web site. Not only will this change provide financial savings but it will make it possible for us to circulate prayer requests in a much more timely way. We trust that these changes will result in more prayer power and not less. And that the communication will be equally effective and more timely.
Features of the New Prayer Partner Web SiteThe first feature to note is that when you click on “Requests” you can enter a prayer request right from this Web site. Your request will be received by our office and will be placed in the prayer calendar on a day of your choice that is at least a week in the future. This feature allows your prayer request to have many prayer warriors praying on your behalf much faster than with the printed Page-A-Day Calendar or the quarterly Newsletter.Another amazing feature is that you can sign up to receive a quarterly feature article, a quarterly Newsletter or the Daily Prayer List. This Daily Prayer List will come to your e-mail address each morning. The quarterly newsletter and article will be e-mailed to you each quarter. Be sure to check out the quick links, the articles and the resources. There are many prayer resources here at your fingertips. |
