Equipping For Service Weekends

by Kathy Marson, November 29, 2018

Equipping For Service Weekends will be held throughout the Upper Columbia Conference on a regular basis. Upcoming weekends in Yakima and Wenatchee are scheduled.

Richland Adventist Church was the first location for the “Equipping for Service” weekends that will be held throughout the conference. Conference directors and administrators filled the pulpits of 13 area churches near Richland and attendees were all invited to come to Richland Sabbath afternoon for Equipping Seminars. Over 200 people were blessed by the afternoon seminars.

Minner Labrador, UCC president, expressed his appreciation for this first of many events. A young girl at the Richland Church said to Minner, “Thank you for coming to our church. It means so much to know we are part of the Adventist Church family.” Seminars in English and Spanish trained church ministry leaders from Tri-Cities area. Many left with a renewed vision.

The Equipping for Service weekend at Chewelah Adventist Church was held Just a few weeks ago. This and other churches in that area were visited by Conference leaders and all were invited back to the Chewelah Church for afternoon seminars, an evening meal and a final session to ask the president questions about anything.
This same program and will be held all over the conference beginning in the new year, 2019.
