UCC Strategic Plan 2023 – 2025

Hello and welcome to our UCC Strategic Plan Website,

This is an exciting moment in the life of our conference! God is blessing us in so many ways.

First and foremost, we're thankful to God for how he has led us in the past. Upper Columbia Conference (UCC) was organized in 1880 in Milton, Oregon. At that time, the Walla Walla Valley had just four Adventist churches and 119 members and was considered a remote frontier.

We continue to build on the rich heritage of the past, and today UCC consists of 126 congregations, 33 schools and pre-schools, multiple radio stations, two Adventist Book Centers, Camp MiVoden, and other ministries and entities that work together to herald the soon return of Jesus Christ. 

Secondly, we are thankful that we can begin a new chapter in the life of UCC, one that envisions God calling us to even greater moments and ministry to expand His Kingdom in the Inland Northwest.

The stories are already starting to come in about how God has been answering prayers and putting it on their hearts to believe in and to follow His vision. My prayer is that under the guidance of the Holy Spirit that UCC will work together to fulfill our 2023-2025 Strategic Plan initiatives in miraculous ways! 

There are some very big and audacious goals and initiatives in this Strategic Plan, but they are all driven by one purpose. Just like it says in stone at the front gate of our conference office, we have a vision to truly become a Resource Center to our field in ways we can’t even fully imagine totally, right now, to assist, support, and to resource you, your family, your church, your school and all of our conference entities to build a legacy for our God by following His vision to sacrificially Serve One More!

So as, you read this strategic plan I ask you to prayerfully consider your role in helping UCC to fulfill the mission of not only proclaiming, but personally sharing the everlasting gospel to the ends of the earth. 

This is our time! This is where we all need to press together – all ages and stages – we want to engage everyone: seniors, adults, young adults, teens, and kids, all coming together to prayerfully follow God’s vision, and supported with resources, to believe, that He can and will, accomplish His Vision for us to Serve One More! 

This, in and of itself will be a witness to the world. For the world will look on at what God is going to do in, and through us, and see all the things that didn’t look possible, and yet are happening right before our very eyes. 

And all we will be able to do is to fall on our knees, and to laugh, and to cry, and to cast our crowns at His feet, giving Him all the glory, all the time!

My friend, it’s about to get real...God is about to move again... but He wants to begin with you and me. Now. It’s Our Time!

¡Este es un momento emocionante en la vida de nuestra conferencia! Dios nos está bendiciendo de muchas maneras.

En primer lugar, estamos agradecidos con Dios por cómo nos ha guiado en el pasado. La Conferencia de Upper Columbia (UCC) se organizó en 1880 en Milton, Oregón. En ese momento, el valle de Walla Walla tenía solo cuatro iglesias adventistas y 119 miembros y se consideraba una frontera remota.

Continuamos construyendo sobre la rica herencia del pasado, y hoy UCC consta de 126 congregaciones, 33 escuelas y centros preescolares, múltiples estaciones de radio, dos Centros de Librerías Adventistas, el Campamento MiVoden y otros ministerios y entidades que trabajan unidos para anunciar el pronto regreso de Jesucristo.

En segundo lugar, estamos agradecidos de poder comenzar un nuevo capítulo en la vida de UCC, uno que prevé que Dios nos llame a momentos y ministerios aún mayores para expandir Su Reino en el Interior del Noroeste.

Las historias ya están comenzando a llegar acerca de cómo Dios ha estado respondiendo oraciones y poniendo en sus corazones creer y seguir Su visión. ¡Mi oración es que, bajo la guía del Espíritu Santo, la UCC trabaje en conjunto para cumplir con nuestras iniciativas del Plan Estratégico 2023-2025 de manera milagrosa!

Hay algunos objetivos e iniciativas muy grandes y audaces en este Plan Estratégico, pero todos están impulsados por un propósito. Tal como dice la roca en la puerta de entrada al edificio de nuestra conferencia, tenemos la visión de convertirnos verdaderamente en un Centro de recursos para nuestro campo en formas que ni siquiera podemos vislumbrar completamente, en este momento, para ayudar, apoyar y proporcionar recursos, a ti, a tu familia, a tu iglesia, a tu escuela y a todas nuestras entidades en la conferencia a fin de construir un legado para nuestro Dios siguiendo Su visión de ¡Servir, Uno Más, con sacrificio!

Entonces, mientras lees este plan estratégico, te pido que consideres en oración tu papel para ayudar a la UCC a cumplir la misión de no solo proclamar, sino compartir personalmente el Evangelio Eterno hasta los confines de la tierra.

¡Este es nuestro momento! Aquí es donde todos debemos presionar juntos – todas las edades y etapas – queremos involucrar a todos: personas mayores, adultos, jóvenes, adolescentes y niños, todos unidos para seguir en oración la visión de Dios y apoyados con recursos, para creer, que Él puede y logrará Su Visión para que nosotros podamos ¡Servir Uno Más!

Esto, en sí mismo, será un testimonio para el mundo. Porque el mundo mirará lo que Dios va a hacer en nosotros y a través de nosotros, y verá todas las cosas que no parecían posibles y, sin embargo, están sucediendo ante nuestros propios ojos.

¡Y todo lo que podremos hacer es caer de rodillas, y reír, y llorar, y arrojar nuestras coronas a Sus pies, dándole toda la gloria, todo el tiempo!

Mi amigo, esto está a punto de convertirse en una realidad... Dios está a punto de actuar nuevamente... pero Él quiere comenzar contigo y conmigo. Ahora. ¡Es Nuestro Tiempo!
