Breakout sessions

Laura Worf

“From SURVIVING to THRIVING”

Are you stressed? Whether you are 18 or 80 you can probably answer “yes” to that question. Stress is a fact of life, but it doesn’t have to steal our joy. Stress and the associated mental health challenges (anxiety and depression) are at an all-time high in our society. But there is a better way to live our lives. God wants us to “thrive” and not just “survive” as we deal with the stresses that life sends our way. In this seminar we’ll learn how to overcome the stress, anxiety, and depression in our lives from a Biblical perspective so we can live the abundant life God wants for each of us!

Laura Worf

“Spiritual Lessons Learned from Gardening”

There’s a lot we can learn about our Creator when we get down on our hands and knees and get our hands dirty in a garden. First time gardener, Laura Worf, will share stories from her experience planting a garden and watching it grow and the spiritual insights she discovered along the way. We’ll discover how to bloom where we are planted by God and glorify Him in the process.

Linda Eastman

"Crisis Ahead! Are You Ready?"

Linda will share ideas on how to be a Proverbs 31 woman making practical and spiritual preparation for these uncertain times. Proverbs 31:27 “She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.”

Kathy Marson

"Tangible Prayer"

What are the ways we can represent God's loving care through us to others? God, creator of heaven and earth, represents His love to us every day. We can follow His creativity and represent our prayers for others in tangible ways. Attendees will have the opportunity to create items that make prayers tangible.

Saturday Night Activities

Hands-on-Craft: Cookie Decorating

Sherri Codd

With the Holidays, again, just around the corner, Sherri would like to share her love of making and decorating sugar cookies. She will bake the cookies in advance so we can spend most of our time learning about icing consistency, mixing colors, and icing techniques. Sherri is self taught and yet is continually learning through YouTube, Pinterest, Etsy and more. She will share sugar cookie and royal icing recipes to make your favorite shapes year round.

Paint Party!
Artist Dean Sherman

Painting a blustery autumn acrylic painting together as the instructor guides you through. This event is designed to help you relax and let things go (for at least the time we are doing it), maybe learn some techniques and end up with a finished creation. Oh, and plan on having lots of fun!

Fireside Fun in the Cafe!

Cheryl Wallace

Relax and rekindle old friendships or start new ones as you enjoy fireside conversations with a bowl of popcorn in the main dining room. There will be hot drinks available and table games — something for everyone!

Poolside
