Featuring

Kara Johnsson, DMIN — Keynote Speaker
A lover of God and people, Dr. Kara Johnsson is passionate about building communities who experience God’s Kingdom now: sharing life together and being a blessing in the wider community. Originally from Australia, she is married to Dr. Terry Johnsson and they love the adventure of a life journeyed with God. She currently serves as lead pastor of Oasis Christian Center in Vancouver, WA.

Gretal Cromwell — Musical guest
Gretal Cromwell has called the Spokane area home for many years. Recently, she and her family moved to a small farm near Spangle, Washington. She and her husband have had the joy and challenge of working together on mission trips, church planting, serving as members of the Better Living Center board, serving her local church in many roles, and most of all raising their young children. A decade ago, she traded her formal teaching credentials to devote herself to her greatest life’s work: stay-at-home/teacher mama to her three loves.

Dr. Jeanne Ekvall & daughters — Special Guests
Dr. Jeanne Ekvall has enjoyed being a health and nutrition counselor and educator for many years. Thirteen of those years she and her husband Merlin worked in Taiwan. She is a dietitian and received her doctorate in public health preventive care from Loma Linda University. Her passion is to help people gain information and choose healthy lifestyles. Joining her for this presentation are her two daughters and her son behind the scenes who filmed them. Vanessa is the mother of Kari and Jason and a nurse anesthetist, living in Chelan, WA. Melissa is the mother of Jed and Brielle and a nurse living in Walla Walla, WA. Both Vanessa and Melissa enjoy discovering new, tasty and healthy dishes.

Debbie Nelson — Special Guest
Debbie Nelson is a wife, mother, and grandmother living in Spokane, WA. She loves being outside, whether it's walking, gardening, biking, paddling, or hiking. Debbie is an extensive traveler and enjoys reading, cooking (and eating!). She works part-time from home as an accountant for a Boise law firm. As a breast cancer survivor, Debbie deeply desires to be a woman after God's own heart.

Sheryl Janke — Special guest

Sheryl loves creating and sharing with others. She loves to help others to learn hobby skills and these days there is a little more time for that since her retirement from careers in orthopedic nursing and work at Upper Columbia Conference. Her “retirement job” is currently the events coordinator for women’s ministries for UCC, and she creates for her cottage business as well.

She and her husband are parents to a son and a daughter and grandparents to five grandchildren, all of whom they treasure and love spending time with whenever possible. Other interests are camping, hiking, traveling, gardening, knitting, crocheting, card making, quilting and her dog, Bear.

BethAnn Moseanko — special guest

BethAnne is a wife, mother, grandmother and daughter of the King. From a young age, she enjoyed the quilts that her great-grandmother made but never had the opportunity to learn from her. About 20 years ago, BethAnn decided it was time to learn this wonderful art herself and became a fifth generation quilter. She now uses this talent that God has given her to bless others.
