Centered in You

October 11, 2022

October is Pastor Appreciation month, and Upper Columbia Conference wants to take a moment to thank our pastors for everything they do!

By: Rhondeen Smith

Called to the field, whether cold or dark
Molded to minister to the weary heart
Bold to preach, words of life to impart
The gospel of Christ as the solitary mark.

Answering they enter into the fray
Pliable in the hands of the Potter
Humble to help every son and daughter
Fill with the Holy Spirit, we pray.

Lead and guide them to Your throne
May they behold Your glory
Help them to tell Your sweet story
Though they are weary to the bone.

Center our pastors, Lord, in You
Blind them to self each day
Obstruct the enemy’s incessant foray
May Your heart they always pursue.
