Lee Venden to Share Importance of Gethsemane at Camp Meeting

June 15, 2020

A sneak peak into camp meeting through this poem of "Two Gardens."

The five-part presentation Lee Venden will share at the Upper Columbia Conference camp meeting is titled, "Lest I Forget Gethsemane." This series is near to his heart.

Venden ties in the "Search and Rescue" theme with insights into how important the Garden of Gethsemane was for Jesus, for you, and for all his followers. We look forward to hearing Lee Venden unpack his insights. Be sure to tune in Wednesday - Saturday. June 17-20, 2020. For the full schedule, see www.uccsda.org/campmeeting.

Here is a poem Venden shared.

Two gardens.

Adam lost the battle in the Garden of Eden.
Jesus won the battle in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Humanity was lost in the Garden of Eden.
Humanity was saved in the Garden of Gethsemane.

In the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve experienced separation from God.
In the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus experienced separation from God.

God sent His angel Michael to bring Adam and Eve hope in the Garden of Eden.
God sent His angel Gabriel to bring hope to Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane

Blood was shed in the Garden of Eden.
Blood was shed in the Garden of Gethsemane.

The first sacrifice was offered in the Garden of Eden The ultimate sacrifice was offered in the Garden of Gethsemane.
