In 2025, the East Wenatchee Church expanded its Christmas outreach by moving its annual Christmas program beyond the church building and into the community. Through the church's Neighbor to You ministry, the congregation hosted a public Christmas program at the Wenatchee High School auditorium.
An 80-member cast and crew spent months preparing for the event, creating and repairing costumes, building props suited for the larger venue, and portraying more than 60 characters. The program featured original musical arrangements and opened with a bell choir prelude by students from Cascade Christian Academy.
More than 500 people attended the event, the majority from the local community. The high school stage manager commented that this was the first time a church had presented a program at the auditorium. Adding, “I’ve been impressed by the quality and professionalism of the production. Everything has been very well organized.”
Following the program, attendees were invited to enjoy refreshments and visit ministry tables hosted by the church and Cascade Christian Academy, where literature and resources were shared.
Many guests expressed appreciation and interest in future events.
Plans are underway to return to the Wenatchee High School auditorium on December 19, 2026 with the goal of continuing to share the message of Christ’s birth and the hope of His soon return with the surrounding community.
