A day of fasting and prayer for our kids and those who serve them

As you watch the changes rapidly unfolding in the world around us, are you concerned for how they will affect our kids? Are you worried that schools may not open, or stay open? Are you concerned for the safety of our teachers? Are you wondering if Adventurers and Pathfinders will be able to function in this time of fear and sickness? Do you long to see God’s church rise up and seize the incredible opportunities that accompany crisis?

Then UNITE with your Upper Columbia Conference family as we pause for a day of fasting and prayer on behalf of our children and those who serve them. We are encouraged by these words from Ellen White, “Take to Him everything that perplexes the mind. Nothing is too great for Him to bear, for He holds up worlds, He rules over all the affairs of the universe. Nothing that in any way concerns our peace is too small for Him to notice.” A Call to Stand Apart 27:8

Unite 4 Kids — an Upper Columbia Conference day of fasting and prayer for our kids and those who serve them — is a day set aside to pray for our teachers, our kids, our schools, and our Adventurer and Pathfinder clubs. Now, like never before, we need to pray that our schools will be allowed to open and that they will run safely. We need to pray for our teachers that God will give them courage, vision, and energy for the school year ahead. We need to pray for our kids, that they will know and share Jesus, that they will be spared from destructive isolation, and that they can learn in environments free from fear. We need to pray for our clubs, that they can open, operate safely, and point not only our kids, but hundreds of community kids as well to a loving, risen, and returning Savior.

We live in a time of obstacles and opportunities. Prayer is the key in the hand of faith that unlocks Heaven’s storehouse and allows us to reach many who were out of reach before. So let’s UNITE and seek the blessing of God on our young people and those who have dedicated their lives to introducing them to Jesus.
