President's Report: All Things New

October 7, 2026

Reaching our communities in 2027

Upper Columbia Conference is excited to participate in All Things New, the General Conference’s mission and outreach initiative for 2027 inviting Seventh-day Adventists worldwide to engage in sharing Jesus and the gospel message through personal witness, community service, evangelism, and media.

Beginning in January 2027 every member in the Church’s 13 world divisions is invited to participate in this worldwide mission emphasis culminating in evangelistic meetings and outreach in September 2027, the 2,000th anniversary of Jesus’ baptism and the beginning of His earthly ministry.

In preparation for this worldwide mission emphasis, we have significantly increased our evangelism and Serve One More funds to the highest levels in more than a decade. These funds are available to you, your church, school, or ministry to share with everyone throughout our territory how Jesus can make all things new.

We are especially excited to see that All Things New is centered around four core pillars that we have already been emphasizing here in our conference — Pray Like Jesus, Serve Like Jesus, Share Jesus, and Follow Jesus.

Pray Like Jesus emphasizes spiritual renewal through prayer, Scripture, and time with Christ. Members will be encouraged to participate in personal and group prayer and to once again read The Desire of Ages by Ellen G. White. Because before we can share Jesus with others, we need to spend time with Him so that they might see Christ reflected in us.

Serve Like Jesus encourages members and congregations, students and schools to engage in simple acts of kindness and community service that make a difference in this world for Jesus. Every member is encouraged to join the Serve One More movement and to become the hands and feet of Jesus to our neighbors.

Share Jesus mobilizes our members to distribute the new Jesus Makes All Things New condensed version of The Desire of Ages sharing book, participate in personal witnessing, share their faith in digital spaces, and engage in coordinated church and school evangelism and outreach efforts across our conference.

Follow Jesus focuses not only on baptism, but also discipleship, spiritual growth, Bible studies, and helping individuals take next steps in their faith journey.

All Things New is an amazing opportunity to introduce your friends and acquaintances to Jesus. He can make all things new in their lives because Scripture is clear that “He who was seated on the throne said, ‘I am making everything new!” Revelation 21:5.

Whether you invite a friend to church, share your faith online, participate in a Bible study, serve people in your community, or support your church’s local evangelistic meetings, your influence will matter for eternity.

With this initiative will come additional resources provided by the North American Division, including social media content and training, evangelistic literature, and additional information. We will continue to provide updates on these resources and how we are participating in All Things New in the coming months on our website at www.uccsda.org.

My prayer is that God will richly bless each of you, and our churches, schools, and ministries as we join His mission and begin to see Jesus make all things new in our own lives and the lives of others whom we meet.
