Upper Columbia Conference sponsors prayer retreat at Camp MiVoden

By Makena Horton

UCC Communications Coordinator

Join fellow Upper Columbia Conference members at Camp MiVoden from October 29-31 for Prayeradigm Shift, a weekend prayer retreat sponsored by Prayer Ministries at the North American Division.

The retreat speaker is Pavel Goia, associate ministerial director for the General Conference Ministerial Association. He will share messages focused on powerful and practical biblical principals on prayer, including unpacking God’s desire to align our prayeradigm with His prayeradigm.

A paradigm is our sense of “normal,” our frame of reference for our day-to-day based on the things we see and believe. These things guide our thoughts, feelings, and actions. When we change or begin to look at things with a new frame of reference, with a new “normal,” this is called a paradigm shift.

We normally recognize the value of prayer in our personal lives and in our communities. We understand that it is powerful but still feel there is more to be tapped into. Are we in need of a prayeradigm shift?

A prayeradigm shift allows us to shift our understanding of prayer, in our desires in prayer, and in how we pray. This allows us to align our thinking with God’s, seek His will, and surrender to His leading in our lives.

Scholarships for the retreat are available and childcare is provided. For more information or to register, visit prayeradigmshift.org.
