Hold a Community Wide National Day of Prayer

March 4, 2025

Churches considering a community event can hold a special National Day of Prayer event!

by Kathy Marson

The National Day of Prayer this year is on May 1, 2025. Appropriately on May Day. Did your church hold a special time of prayer last year? Now is a great time to consider holding something for your community for the upcoming National Day of Prayer.

The theme is based on Romans 15:13. "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." With all the things happening in the world, this might be a calm in the midst of the storm for many people.

Last year the Chewelah SDA Group held an event for their community. You can find that story here: https://www.uccsda.org/praying-for-our-nation.

Days of prayer events can be held year-round. If you would like more information about the  the National Day of Prayer go to: https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/2025-theme
